International Extrusion (INTEX) in Garden City, Michigan brought the first SAT Cube vertical powder coating line in the United States online, a joint effort between SAT in Verona, Italy and Gema USA.
SAT's newest vertical powder booth is built for uniform, deep coating of complex-geometry profiles at high and constant conveyor speed, even as profile weight and geometry vary. It integrates with SAT's VISI-1 automatic powder coating control system for a high level of automation, repeatability, and coating efficiency.
Tower Extrusions selected ATIE's N5 system, a closed-loop liquid nitrogen control system, to reduce heat buildup in extrusion tooling and increase extrusion speed while holding a consistent exit temperature, on presses ranging from 1,400 to 4,400 tons.
SAT opened a vertical finishing lab for customer trials and process development, covered by the Italian surface-finishing trade press.
SAT and Alit announced a commercial agreement expanding SAT's reach in aluminum surface finishing.
